Монгол Улсын Засгийн Газар, МҮХАТ-ын хамтран зохион байгуулдаг өнөө цагт олширсон олон шалгаруулалт, ёслолын арга хэмжээнүүдийн дотроос бүтээсэн ажил үйлс, улс орны хөгжил, ард түмний амьдралд оруулж буй хувь нэмрээр нь аж ахуйн нэгжүүдийг үнэлж, шалгаруулдгаараа энэ арга хэмжээ өргөн агуулгатай, өндөр ач холбогдолтой болдог билээ.

УИХ-ын гишүүн С.Дэмбэрэлийн санаачлагаар анх 2001 оноос эхэлэн ТОП-100 аж ахуйн нэгжийн шалгаруулалт явуулах болсон. Энэхүү арга хэмжээ нь хувийн хэвшлийн байгууллагуудын үйл ажиллагаа өргөжин тэлж байгаа, мянга мянган ажлын байрыг шинээр бий болгож байгаа, улсын төсвийн орлогын дийлэнх хувийг бүрдүүлж, эдийн засгийн өсөлт, хөгжлийн гол ачааг нуруундаа үүрч яваа тэдгээр Үндэсний компаниудыг тодруулдагаараа далайцтай, бодит үр дүнг өндрөөр үнэлдэг болтлоо өнөөдөр хөгжсөн байна.  

2012 оноос хүрээгээ тэлж ТОП-150 болж өргөжсөн юм байна. Улс орны эдийн засаг, бизнесийн өсөлтийг харгалзан үзэж, жагсаалтыг ийнхүү өргөтгөснөөс гадна “Авлигын эсрэг хийсэн ажил, санал санаачилга, үр дүн” гэсэн шалгуур үзүүлэлтийг шинээр нэмж оруулсан байна. ТОП-150 аж ахуйн нэгжүүдийг шалгаруулахад тухайн жилд улсад төлсөн татварын дүн, борлуулалтын хэмжээ, нийгмийн хариуцлага, шинээр бий болгосон ажлын байр, дэвшилтэт технологи нэвтрүүлэлт, компанийн засаглал, санхүүгийн ил тод байдал зэргийг авч үздэг.
